a year ago rhet0rica: id initially shipped with auto memory management enabled, which was definitely a mistake. I don't think this will be an issue going forward, though without more details it's impossible to know what the actual conditions were of the original crash (and if Unicode characters were actually responsible—my guess is that they weren't).
