The 'internal' message is not supported
When attempting to use a device designed for use with NS hardware that was released prior to 2023, you may encounter the message:

[_hardware] ejecting device: [DEVICE NAME] requires Companion; please contact vendor for an ARES version. The 'internal' message is not supported.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Check the ARES Device Compatibility index for your product.
- If the product is marked as having been updated, you can attempt redelivery. Most NS products come with a "Pocket Redelivery Terminal" that will direct you to a webpage for convenient redeliveries. If yours did not include one, then use the one that came with your purchase of ARES (i.e., your main controller.)
- If the product is not listed on the site as having been updated, was purchased recently, or continues to misbehave after redelivery, then it is not yet compatible with ARES.
