ARES System Manual: filter Text Filter Utilities
Flags format: Specify the origin and destination languages as two-letter codes separated by a colon. For example, 'en:it' converts English to Italian.
An exhaustive list of two-letter language codes can be found in ISO 639-1: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes (not all are supported.)
The mymemory.translated.net service is free to use, but contains human-submitted translations, some of which may be erroneous.
The translate filter also cannot perform language auto-detection. It is for entertainment purposes only and is not a substitute for a dedicated translator product. (But if you'd like to submit patches, we're certainly open to them.)
